Product Overview:

Uniting contemporary Tokyo street aesthetics with retro Japanese pop-art satire, the Human Made Keiko Sootome "A-UN" Tee represents an inspired partnership with renowned illustrator Keiko Sootome. Celebrated for her nostalgic Showa-era magazine illustration style, Sootome reinterprets the traditional spiritual concept of "A-UN" (symbolizing the beginning and the end, harmony, and dual breathing in Eastern philosophy) through a humorous graphic narrative on a clean white base.

Constructed according to Human Made’s dedicated artisan standards for graphic releases, the t-shirt is crafted from signature uneven slub cotton jersey (Tenjiku cotton). Celebrated for its unique, tactile horizontal yarn irregularities, the textile provides natural air circulation, lightweight breathability, and an authentic vintage dry hand feel that ages gracefully with regular wear. The body is produced using traditional loopwheel-inspired tubular knitting (marudo), yielding a seamless cylindrical construction without side seams that prevents friction against the skin and prevents the garment from torquing after laundering. Finished with a double-needle bound ribbed crewneck collar. Inspected, authenticated, and available in-stock at WEAR43WAY Hong Kong.
